Tiller Named to Big 12 Starting Five
Kansas redshirt-freshman Bryson Tiller has been named to the Big 12 Starting Five, a weekly honor as voted on by a media panel that covers the league, the conference office announced today. This is the first time Tiller has earned the weekly honor.
In No. 14 Kansas’ 90-82 win versus No. 13 BYU, Tiller scored a career-high 21 points on 8-of-13 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, registering his ninth game in double figures this season, including his second-straight. The Atlanta, Georgia, forward pulled down seven rebounds against BYU marking his fourth-consecutive game with at least five rebounds, and the 16th time this season.
Tiller has started the last 18 games for Kansas and averages 9.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He is second on the team with 28 blocked shots this season.
No. 13 Kansas (16-5, 6-2) plays at No. 11 Texas Tech (16-5, 6-2) tonight, Feb. 2, on ESPN Big Monday. Tip from United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas, is set for 8 p.m.
