Cabeldue, Brown Super Bowl LX Champions with Seattle Seahawks

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Former Kansas Jayhawks Bryce Cabeldue and Logan Brown were crowned Super Bowl LX champions as the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots, 29-13, on Sunday night at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Cabeldue and Brown became the 20th and 21st Jayhawks to win a Super Bowl, and the first since Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib won Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos.

Cabeldue appeared in five games on the offensive line for Seattle during the 2025 season as the Seahawks earned the NFC’s top seed in the NFL playoffs. Seattle received a first-round bye before defeating the San Francisco 49ers, 41-6, in the NFC Divisional Round and the Los Angeles Rams, 31-27, in the NFC Championship Game, then capped the postseason with a Super Bowl LX victory over New England.

Cabeldue was placed on injured reserve Jan. 23, while Brown spent the 2025-26 season as a member of the Seahawks’ practice squad.

A four-year starter at Kansas, Cabeldue started 47 games at offensive tackle during his Jayhawk career. He earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors in 2024 and helped lead Kansas to back-to-back bowl appearances in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, the Jayhawks averaged 211.4 rushing yards per game while allowing just 10 sacks as a unit.

Brown played at Kansas from 2023-24 and appeared in 39 career games with 14 starts between Kansas and Wisconsin. He earned second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2024.
