Kansas handled Syracuse 71–60 to move to 5–2 on the season, controlling the matchup from the opening tip and never letting the Orange find a rhythm.
The Jayhawks set the tone early with a 34–25 first-half lead and continued to steady the game in the second half. KU dominated the glass all night, winning the rebounding battle 49–29 and converting 13 offensive boards into key second-chance opportunities. Kansas also made the most of their trips to the line, shooting a sharp 18-of-20 (90%), while Syracuse struggled at 13-of-23.
Despite committing 15 turnovers, the Jayhawks’ efficiency, rebounding, and physicality kept them comfortably in control.
Syracuse simply couldn’t get shots to fall, finishing at 32% from the field and just 23% from three (7-of-30). KU’s defense forced contested looks throughout, and Syracuse’s cold shooting never allowed them to make a serious run. T. White led Kansas with 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting and a perfect night from the stripe, while T. Betsey paced Syracuse with 12 points.
Stay tuned on who the Jayhawks will play next. We’ll let you know who & when as soon as we find out.
